Himmlischer Vater, ich beginne diesen Tag der Auferstehung in dem Bewusstsein, dass ich eingeladen bin, demütig zu sein wie du. Hilf mir, den Menschen in meinem Umfeld aufmerksam zu begegnen. In diesem Sinn bete ich für das Anliegen des Papstes in diesem Monat.

Heavenly Father, I begin this Sunday of the resurrection of Jesus with the awareness that I am invited to live with humility. "Bei euch aber soll es nicht so sein, sondern wer bei euch groß sein will, der soll euer Diener sein, und wer bei euch der Erste sein will, soll der Sklave aller sein.“ (Markus 10,43-44) Lasst uns für einander da sein, ohne etwas im Gegenzug zu erwarten.

WITH JESUS IN THE AFTERNOON

"But it shall not be so among you. Rather, whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of all.” (Mark 10:43-44) Serving and giving are two actions that please the heart of God. Let us bear in mind that everyone who serves and gives will also receive his reward, for one thing implies the other. When we serve and donate it comes back to us in blessings, in joy and even in aid in times of need and suffering. Let us practice kindness without expecting anything in return, and thus we will expand love in the world.

Nun, da die Nacht den Himmel bedeckt, erinnere ich mich an alles, was sich heute ereignete. Was beschäftigt mich im Moment noch? Gab es einen Augenblick, an dem du mir besonders nahe warst? Warum? Sei heute Nacht bei mir und ergänze, was meinem Leben fehlt. Amen.
